Avionics Digital Edition

The Summit is Here!!!

Welcome to our third edition of the GCA Link, and this time the publication coincides with our own Global Connected Aircraft Summit which is shaping up to be our best ever. We have exciting keynote speakers from the likes of Netflix, Google, Facebook and Visa, as well as a large number of airlines taking part in what promises to be three days of lively debates and networking. We hope for all of those who are coming you will enjoy the event as we continue to build it year-on-year.

The event will play host to a number of important discussions as we delve deep into operations, passenger experience, cybersecurity, Big Data, antenna technology, and connected engine technology to name just a few key topics. With more and more aircraft becoming connected, the debates take on a new meaning every year, and I am looking forward to what our myriad of speakers will be saying.

One of things we are really emphasizing when writing and putting together the GCA Link is that we want the content to be really focused on end users. I was delighted that in this edition, we were able to talk to two key executives from Emirates about their strategy in terms of both operations and passenger experience. We also did a detailed interview with Rodrigo Llaguno, who handles Aeromexico’s efforts in terms of the connected passenger experience. Additionally, Woodrow Bellamy III looks in detail at the different business models related to the passenger experience and talks to Qantas, among others.

We hope you enjoy this edition, and hope you enjoy our flagship event in June.
