Augmented and enabled by Panasonic Avionics' global in-flight connectivity services, airlines can personalize passenger content to provide access to passengers’ personal subscription services and content such as Apple Music, Spotify, Netflix, Disney+, YouTube, and HBO Max.
Astrova offers significant weight savings compared to other seat-end architectures. Its hardware and software components can evolve over time to meet changing market requirements and satisfy ever-increasing passenger expectations. It has backward compatibility with other Panasonic Avionics systems such as eX1, eX3, and NEXT, enabling operational commonality in areas such as media loading, spares, and repairs for some line replaceable units, as well as cabin crew operations.

AVANT Up IFE solution features a new line of displays, power supply solutions, personalization, and airline revenue-generation capabilities. It has an all-new line of Thales displays (4K high dynamic range HDR) enhanced with Samsung QLED technology to provide unrivaled picture quality plus a 50% increase in reliability and a 30% decrease in weight than previous Thales models. The weight decrease is in part due to the company switching out glass for polycarbonate material, which also helped the product pass its HIC (head injury criteria) certification.
It also uses smart power supply solutions designed with the passenger in mind, allocating power where they need it all while reducing weight and total cost of ownership. The new digital technologies aim to drive operational efficiency and to maximize passenger satisfaction, loyalty, and revenue.
